How To Use Custom CSS

1 min read

In order to customize Hike, you’ll need to brush up on a little CSS knowledge if you’ve never used it before. If you need a refresher, we have one available here: https://hikeseo.co/how-to-customise-your-hike-seo-dashboard-to-impress-clients/

  1. Open my.hike.marketing in one tab, and your custom domain in another. You will be updating the custom domain settings in my.hike.marketing, and reviewing changes on your custom domain.
  1. In your custom domain tab or window, right-click anywhere on the page and select ‘Inspect’. This will bring up the Chrome DevTool inspector as a split-screen. We’ll need this open because it enables the ‘Empty cache and hard reload’ feature.
  1. Add your custom CSS in your custom domain settings in my.hike.marketing. Make sure you save them before moving on to the next step.
  1. Once the custom CSS has been saved, right click the refresh button on your custom domain and select “Empty cache and hard reload.” You should then see your custom CSS on your custom domain!
